Numiscue sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts and has no accounts, so the only personal data it holds is whatever you choose to put in an email.
What this site does not do
- No cookies. None are set by this site, for any purpose, including analytics or preferences.
- No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no alternative analytics product, and no self-hosted equivalent. Nobody here can tell you how many people read a page.
- No advertising. No ad network, no tracking pixels, no retargeting.
- No third-party fonts or scripts. The typefaces are served from this domain, not from a font CDN, so no external service sees your visit. All JavaScript on the site is served from here too.
- No embedded content. No videos, no social widgets, no comment system, no iframes.
- No accounts, no logins, no newsletter. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No forms that transmit anything. The one input on the site is described below and never leaves your device.
What the hosting layer sees
Serving a page requires a request, and requests carry technical information: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user-agent string and, if you arrived from a link, the referring page. This is standard for any website and cannot be avoided while still delivering a page to you.
The site is served through a content delivery network, which handles that request and provides security and caching. Its operator processes those technical details as part of delivering the site. No identifying information is collected from those logs, combined with anything else, or used to build a profile.
The address-format identifier tool
The address-format identifier accepts text you paste, identifies compatible format families and states when the intended network is ambiguous. It is worth being precise about what happens to that text.
It stays in your browser. The checks run in JavaScript on your device, the hash functions used to verify checksums are implemented in the page itself rather than called from a service, and no request is made when you use it. Nothing you paste is transmitted, stored or logged — not by this site and not by anyone else. You can disconnect from the network and the tool still works, which is the simplest way to confirm it.
Links to other sites
This site links to project documentation, source repositories, block explorers and one exchange. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site under their privacy policy, and this one no longer applies. Their practices are not something Numiscue can speak for.
One referral link is published, on the buying guide. Following it hands the exchange a referral code so that it can attribute the account — that happens because you clicked, not in the background, and this site sets no cookie, pixel or tracking script of its own to bring it about. What the exchange records from then on is governed by its privacy policy, not this one. The funding disclosure page records the arrangement. Ordinary source links still take you to third-party sites governed by their own privacy policies.
If you write to [email protected], the message and your address are held for as long as it takes to deal with what you wrote about. Correspondence is not added to a mailing list, shared, or used for anything other than replying. There is no mailing list to add it to.
Your rights
Under the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, and comparable laws elsewhere, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to portability.
In practice, the only personal data this site holds is email correspondence, so exercising any of those rights means writing to the address above and saying what you would like done. Requests are actioned without argument.
Where processing has a legal basis, it is legitimate interest — delivering a website that was requested, and replying to correspondence that was sent. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the change and its date will be recorded on the corrections page along with everything else that gets changed here.
This page describes the site as at August 2026. If a future version adds anything that collects data — it is not planned — this page will be rewritten before that happens rather than afterwards.
